Ventura Boulevard Closed at Nagle by Bomb Squad, Nothing Found

The road was re-opened at 8:47 p.m.

Ventura Boulevard at Nagle Street in Sherman Oaks was closed for a few hours while the Los Angeles Police Bomb Squad investigated a suspicious package on Sunday night.

Police found nothing, according to a report at 8:50 p.m.

LAPD working to render inert a suspicious device, Ventura Bl. & Nagle. LAFD on standby.

It was later declared a false alarm and "nothing suspicious" at the scene.

Local restaurant  Beth Szymkowski sent in a report:

An LAPD bomb squad truck blocking Ventura Blvd near Maria's Italian Kitchen tonight at about 5:30. The wine/liquor store across the street had yellow police tape around it.
