Woman Fatally Stabbed On Wednesday Identified, Suspect Arrested
The 53-year-old woman was discovered at a home having suffering multiple stab wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Police have released the name of the woman found fatally stabbed at her home on Wednesday. Ana Guardado, a 53-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene having suffered multiple stab wounds.
Police were called to a home in the 7300 block of Matilija Avenue around 8:43 a.m. after reports that a homicide suspect was at the location. Once they arrived, witnesses directed them across the street to the 13800 block of Valerio Street, where they found a wounded Guardado.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Detectives detained and later arrested 49-year-old Jose Sierra on suspicion of homicide. He was booked at the Van Nuys jail and held on $2 million bail.
