Detectives located both suspects at a casino in Middletown and served a search warrant on Tanner's car, which was used in the robbery, authorities said.

They were both taken into custody on suspicion of elder abuse, vehicle theft, first-degree robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy. Tanner may face additional charges of altering a firearm identification number and possession of a large-capacity magazine, deputies said.

Matamoros-Acosta, meanwhile, was found to have violated the terms of their probation for a previous conviction, deputies said.

Tanner remains in custody in lieu of $1 million bail, while Matamoros-Acosta's bail was set at $1.031 million, authorities said.
