If you're looking for a place to get started, we've rounded up five fun things to do in the Sonoma Valley area before the kids head back to school. Pro tip: Call ahead to confirm hours and access, stay hydrated, and if you're heading outdoors, bring plenty of SPF and bug spray!

For Peanuts lovers of all ages, the Charles L. Schulz Museum is filled with comics, photos and other memorabilia from the cartoonist’s life. The museum is open daily through Labor Day and discounted tickets are available for children. Click here for more info.
2. Children’s Museum of Sonoma County

The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County offers hands-on exhibits and interactive play areas designed to spark creativity and curiosity in kids. 3. Ridgway Swim Center

Sonoma Train Town Railroad features a quarter-scale railroad that takes you on a scenic 20-minute journey through tunnels, over bridges and past miniature buildings.
