'Broadway In Sonoma': Tickets On Sale For Transcendence Summer Season

SONOMA VALLEY, CA — Tickets for Transcendence Theatre Company's 2024 summer season, "Broadway in Sonoma," went on sale Tuesday.

Billed as California Wine Country's award-winning premiere entertainment experience, Transcendence brings a summer of outstanding outdoor performances to the magical Field of Dreams, located within steps of historic downtown Sonoma.

"Broadway in Sonoma" runs June 20 - Sept. 22 and tickets range from $35 to $190. Those who subscribe to three or four shows save 20 percent and receive priority seating and other subscriber benefits. Groups of 10 or more save up to 20 percent.

For 10 years, Transcendence Theatre Company has held its summer season at Jack London State Historic Park. Ongoing compliance matters in a litigation settlement between the California State Park Ranger Association and the California State Parks Department over the environmental review process and permitting has kept Transcendence from returning to the park for the 2024 season, the theater company said in a statement.

As Transcendence works toward returning to Jack London State Historic Park for the 2025 summer season, the city of Sonoma offered to help explore alternative sites. Transcendence accepted the city's offer to hold the 2024 season at a suitable site: the Sonoma Valley Field of Dreams at 151 1st Stret West in downtown Sonoma.

Transcendence Theatre Company will present four spectacular weekends of Broadway musical revues set against the backdrop of Sonoma Valley's Field of Dreams in Fazio Field. The season showcases an array of musical styles with performances by Broadway veterans from hit shows such as "Hamilton," "Wicked" and "Les Misérables."

"Summertime!": A musical celebration of Sonoma

June 20-23

A musically theatrical event celebrating the beloved Sonoma community through song and dance. With a mosaic of musical styles ranging from Broadway's "Oklahoma!," "Pippin," and "Beauty and the Beast," to Top 40 and Country artists like Rascal Flatts, Sara Bareilles, Michael Bublé and the Beatles, it's a perfect way to welcome summer. "Summertime!" will feature music from Broadway shows including "Godspell," "Big River," "Porgy and Bess," along with pop songs "I Can See Clearly Now," "True Colors," "We Are Family," "Here Comes the Sun," and more!

"Don't Stop Us Now": MidAtlantic Men meet Queenz of Rock
July 25-28

This creative collaboration between the MidAtlantic Men, Queenz of Rock and Transcendence showcases epically soaring vocals and tight harmonies. Beloved Transcendence artists Emily Yates and Simon Pearl join forces in this world-premiere event featuring a showdown of British and American tunes, a trio of rock divas, and an explosion of song.

First up, the MidAtlantic Men dazzle with their captivating vocals and magnetic charm, in a friendly competition of the greatest hit music from Britain and America: iconic songs from Elvis to Elton and Adele to Aerosmith.

Then, the Queenz of Rock, three female rock powerhouses, ignite the stage with a journey through rock's golden ages, featuring chart-topping music from Heart, Bonnie Tyler, Bon Jovi, Belinda Carlisle, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett and more.

Aug. 15-18

Are you ready to groove Transcendence-style? This iconic summer playlist spotlights popular music from yesterday and today, with a few surprises as well! Whether you're swaying to the music of beloved singer-songwriters, getting down with today's hit-makers, or jammin' to Motown classics, this musical celebration will leave a song in your heart and a skip in your step. Dancing in the Street will feature the chart-topping hits of recording artists such as Whitney Houston, Elton John and Bruno Mars, and highlight Motown's timeless hits.

Sept. 19-22

An unforgettable evening of definitive Broadway blockbusters performed with the heart and vigor only seen on the Transcendence stage. As we gather some of the community's favorite artists from past seasons together with new Broadway-bound talent, this journey will send you soaring through your summer night! "The Gala: A Sentimental Journey" features Broadway show tunes from such classics as "West Side Story," "Into the Woods," "Les Misérables," "A Chorus Line," "Cats" and "Company!"

The Transcendence Experience

With Sonoma Plaza being a mere walk from Field of Dreams, guests are encouraged to enjoy dinner, shopping, world-class wine tastings, and all that Sonoma has to offer, before an after the show.

No food trucks will be onsite this season at the Field of Dreams. Before each performance, the RBC Wealth Management Gold Lounge at Fazio Field opens at 5:30 p.m. for gold-level ticketholders and at 6:30 p.m. for all other ticketholders. Here, guests can enjoy artisanal wines, local beer and other beverages, then head to their seats for the 7:30 p.m. start of each show.
