DUI Suspected In High-Speed Pursuit On Hwy 12 In Sonoma County

SONOMA VALLEY, CA — Sonoma County sheriff's deputies arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence after he led them on a high-speed pursuit Friday night. According to the sheriff's office, deputies were dispatched to the area of Maldonado and Second avenues in Boyes Hot Springs on a report of yelling coming from a white pickup truck.
Deputies arrived at the scene and tried to stop the truck, but the driver fled on state Highway 12 and led deputies on a high-speed pursuit.
The suspect drove to Trinity Road near Glen Ellen, then turned onto Cavedale Road where his vehicle left the roadway. No one was injured in the pursuit, sheriff's officials said.

The driver, 54-year-old Richard Pomeroy, was arrested on suspicion of felony evading and DUI, sheriff's officials said.
