Valentine's Piano Concert Sunday at Jack London State Park
The sounds of Charmian London's Steinway will raise money for the park in Glen Ellen.
Valentine's Day is next week and Jack London State Park will celebrate the season with a concert Sunday by Jack London Piano Club.
The fund raiser for the park will be in The House of Happy Walls at the Museum on the property. Pianists will perform on the Steinway that belonged to author Jack London's wife, Charmian, who was an accomplished pianist.
This is the 25th anniversary of Jack London Piano Club and the sixth benefit concert by the group. Soloists will include Jud Goodrich, Marilynn Scott, Jim Wittes, Zina Milyavsky and Esfir Ross. Their repertoire ranges from classical to the Great American Songbook. Guest artist Jennifer Farmer, who has appeared in stage, film and TV also will perform. She is a vocal coach from Windsor.
