Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa named to Cal Hospital Compare 2025 Patient Safety Honor Roll
Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa listed among the top hospitals in California for having a strong culture of safety

Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center was named to the Cal Hospital Compare 2025 Patient Safety Honor Roll in recognition of its commitment to providing safe patient care.
The honor roll uses objective, publicly available patient-safety measures to evaluate hospitals across a variety of domains, including hospital-acquired infections, adverse patient safety events, sepsis management, patient experience, and the Leapfrog Group’s Hospital Safety Grade.
This year, 93 of the state’s 311 adult, acute-care hospitals made the honor roll. Kaiser Permanente Northern California had 9 hospitals on the list – representing nearly 10% of the hospitals recognized.

“This latest achievement acknowledges the unwavering commitment of our care teams, who always put patient safety first,” said Patricia Hiserote, DO, physician in chief at Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa. “We are constantly working on innovative ways to provide better outcomes for our members, and to improve the health of the communities we serve.”
Hospitals on the honor roll had to meet a rigorous performance threshold by having at least two-thirds of patient-safety measure results above the 50th percentile and no measure result below the 10th percentile and/or an “A” grade in the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for the past three reporting periods.
According to Cal Hospital Compare, this honor roll offers Californians a rigorously evaluated list of hospitals that have consistently demonstrated a strong culture of safety across multiple departments.
