​Man Holding Gun To Head Pulled Over For Drunk Driving: Police

Casey Eugene Jones was accused of driving under the influence and firearms violations.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A 45-year-old Santa Rosa man who was reported to be holding a gun to his head in his residence was taken into custody after he got in his car and drove off, police said.

Officers were dispatched about 12:35 p.m. Saturday to the residence near the 1000 block of Spenlow Road on a report that a man was walking around inside with a gun to his head, police said in a press release.

As officers were responding to the residence, the man drove away in his blue Toyota Coupe, police said.

When officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, Jones was found to be in possession of a loaded, concealed firearm, police said. Officers located a second firearm in the trunk of the vehicle. Neither gun was registered to Jones.

A chemical test showed his blood alcohol content was more than four times the legal limit of .08%, according to police.
