CAL FIRE crews last week burned piles in Salt Point State Park, Sonoma County, to reduce dead and downed debris that could otherwise feed a wildfire. The effort supports vegetation management, wildlife habitat improvement, invasive plant management, and other long-term stewardship at the park along the northern Sonoma Coast, according to the agency.

CAL FIRE and State Parks will continue pile burning, next at Sonoma Coast State Park.
