Probationer Arrested After 3D Printed Guns Found In Home: Police
Police found two 3D printers that they suspect were used for manufacturing unserialized firearms, often referred to as ghost guns.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A 34-year-old Santa Rosa man who was on probation was arrested in Santa Rosa Friday night for allegedly possessing drugs and manufacturing firearms at his residence.
Santa Rosa police officers pulled over a vehicle being driven by Michael McGarvey at about 9 p.m. at Mendocino Avenue and Bicentennial Way. They allegedly found 2.5 grams of a suspected narcotic in a hidden compartment behind a door panel, police said in a press release.
Officers with the department's Special Enforcement Team searched McGarvey's residence in the 2400 block of Dayton Street and allegedly found two 3D printers that they suspect were used for manufacturing unserialized firearms, often referred to as ghost guns.

Six firearm precursor parts were allegedly found in the residence, along with a 3D printed .22 caliber pistol without a serial number, which was found in a zippered chair cushion, according to police.
McGarvey was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility on accusations of possession of an unconventional pistol and possession of firearm precursor parts, which is illegal without a license.
