Sheriff Books Man For 3rd Sex Assault, Searches For More Victims

SANTA ROSA - The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has posted photos of a man they arrested on sexual assault charges for the third time, hoping other victims may see the images and come forward.

According to a Sheriff's Department release, Christopher Harmon has been arrested twice recently for charges stemming from sexual assault investigations. The Sheriff says he has now been arrested a third time, again for sexual assault.

Harmon was an employee of the Summerfield Waldorf School according to information provided. He was first arrested for molesting a 4-year-old student.

During a follow-up investigation, the Sheriff's Domestic Violence / Sexual Assault detective was able to identify more victims. After interviewing those victims, deputies say Harmon was arrested on additional charges and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.

Authorities say Harmon subsequently bailed out each time he was arrested and booked.

Following Harmon's second arrest, information about Harmon and the case was provided to the public with contact information for the Sonoma County Sheriff`s Office.

The Sheriff's Department says an additional victim came forward to report that she too had been allegedly sexually assaulted by Harmon.

The victim had seen the press release and submitted a Silent Witness Form through Sonoma Sheriff’s Office website with details and information about her interaction with Harmon.

Police say this victim had been lured into a relationship with Harmon when she was a minor.

Allegedly, Harmon immediately ingratiated himself into her family, coercing her into sexual acts and later raped her after serving her intoxicants.

Authorties say Harmon sexually assaulted her from August of 2014 into the year 2015.

The assaults took place in the unincorporated area of county jurisdiction, outside of Sebastopol.

Harmon, who was out on bail for the two previous sexual assault cases, was located and surrendered at the Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say her was booked into the Sonoma County jail for three sexual assault charges: rape of a drugged victim; unlawful sex with a minor; and oral copulation of a minor.

His bail was again set at $200,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on March 9 at 8:30.

Police have distributed two photos of Christopher Harmon from his Facebook page.
