DUI: A deputy spotted a black BMW swerving from side to side and stopped the vehicle at Mountain Ave. at Highway 12. The driver, Jorge Lopez-Rodriguez, a 21-year-old Agua Caliente resident, told the officer he’d had three beers. He registered a .17 and .16 on blood alcohol breath test. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and was booked into Sonoma County Jail. A passenger in the vehicle, a 28-year-old Agua Caliente resident, was having trouble walking; he was booked and released without charges.

Drunk in Public: At 12:32 a.m. officers responded to reports of a suspicious person near the Plaza. At the scene, they found Roberto Guerro, a 20-year-old Santa Rosa resident, who dropped to the ground on his stomach when he spotted the police car. Guerro told officers that he’d taken several hits of ecstasy and a couple of shots of liquor. He then started doing sit ups. He was charged with being drunk in public and a probation violation and was booked into Sonoma County Jail.

Drunk in Public: At 5:50 a.m. offers were dispatched to the 300 block of Robinson St. to pick up a 59-year-old Boyes Hot Springs resident who arrived at the home to celebrate New Year’s Eve and refused to leave. The resident of the house said that the women had become increasingly intoxicated, and eventually refused to leave. The woman told officers she’d taken prescription Vicodin and drank alcohol.

Petty Theft from a Motor Vehicle: A man reported that someone stole his 2010 license plate registration tab from his truck.

Monday, Jan. 2

Burglary: Someone broke into a property on the 200 block of East Napa Street between 2 p.m. on Dec. 31 and 7 p.m. on Jan. 2, while the residents were away. The thieves made off with gold jewelry, gold coins, a gold and diamond watch, a TAG Heuer watch and an HP laptop.

Theft: A resident reported that the seat was stolen from his 1990 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Public Intoxication: At 6:20 p.m. a suspicious person was reportedly harassing patrons at the . At the scene, officers found Keeshon Duren, a 37-year-old Fresno man, who has a strong odor of alcohol and a bottle of vodka in his pocket. Duren, who was in town with his girlfriend – who declined to pick him up ­– was deemed unable to care for himself and was charged with being drunk in public, violating his probation.

Grand Theft: removed five air conditioning units, to receive a repair estimate. The repairs were out of budget, so the school left them on the front lawn, to be reinstalled before term. In the interim, someone stole all five units, which weigh between 250 – 300 lbs. Employees last saw the units on Friday, Jan. 30

Thursday, Jan. 5

Shoplifting: At 12:55 p.m. a security guard at noticed a women grab a paper bag, and fill it with items during her shopping trip. When the women, Erika Chow, a 45-year-old San Francisco resident, checked out, she moved the paper bag directly to the other side of the check out stand, without paying. Inside the bag was a $17.99 bottle of shampoo, a $23.99 bottle of under-eye repair cream, and a $2.88 deli salad. She was charged with petty theft and placed under arrest.
