Sonoma Raceway Hands Out 6,200 Pounds Of Food This Thanksgiving

The raceway also distributed more than $1,300 in cash contributions from the community to food banks.

SONOMA, CA — Sonoma Raceway has distributed more than 6,200 pounds of food during its Thanksgiving food drive this year. The 6,232 pounds of non-perishable donations will go to Friends in Sonoma Helping (FISH) and the Redwood Empire Food Bank in Santa Rosa. Sonoma
Raceway also distributed more than $1,300 in cash contributions from the community to food banks this year.

Sonoma Raceway has donated more than 39 tons of non-perishable food to Bay Area food banks over 18 years.

FISH provides food, clothing, transportation and emergency rental assistance to Sonoma Valley residents in need. The food from Sonoma Raceway is used for FISH's Holiday Food Basket program. The baskets contain fresh eggs, produce and a $25 gift card supported by cash contributions.

RKA Motorcycle Luggage of Windsor organized the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive Ride of 46 riders to deliver food and cash to Sonoma Raceway.

The Redwood Empire Food Bank is Sonoma County's largest hunger relief organization. It serves 82,000 individuals and families.
