Wastewater Spills From Manhole into Sonoma Creek for Hours on Saturday
Wastewater officials reported that the overflow started at 8:45 a.m.

Between two and five gallons of wastewater overflowed per minute from a manhole on Oman Springs Court in Sonoma, and into Sonoma Creek beginning at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, according to Sonoma County Water Agency officials.
A water agency spokesperson said in a statement that it was unlikely that the overflow will harm fish or other wildlife because of the massive amount of water flowing into the creek.
Work crews continued to monitor the location at 2 p.m., according to Ann DuBay, a public information officer with the water agency.
