L.A. County Average Gasoline Price Drops to $4

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell yesterdat to the $4 mark for the first time since Feb. 2, dropping six-tenths of a cent.

The average price is 4.3 cents less than one week ago, 19.1 cents lower than one month ago and 23.9 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped 1.2 cents today to $3.962, its lowest amount since Feb. 1. It is 5.1 cents less than one week ago, 20.8 cents lower than one month ago and 24.8 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped 45 times in the past 49 days, falling 35.3 cents, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday. It had increased 33 times in 34 days before the decreases began, rising 59.7 cents.
