Man in Vehicle Shot To Death In Hyde Park Area

LOS ANGELES, CA — A man was shot to death Saturday morning while sitting in a vehicle in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles.

The shooting was reported at about 11:30 a.m. in the 6300 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The 42-year-old victim was sitting in a parked vehicle when a male suspect approached on foot and fired into the vehicle, Eisenman said. The suspect then fled.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The shooting was believed to be gang-related, Eisenman said.
