Landscapers Beaten And Robbed While Working In SoCal: Reports

One of their customers has started a GoFundMe to help them recover financially from the incident.

SOUTH PASADENA, CA — A married couple who work together as landscapers are recovering financially, physically and emotionally after their equipment was stolen and one of them was dragged by a moving vehicle in the process, according to reports.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, when Esteban Vargas and Linda Huerta were at a job in South Pasadena and Huerta saw two men stealing equipment from their truck, tried to intervene, and was beaten and dragged before being pushed into the street, according to KTLA and a GoFundMe webpage seeking donations to help the couple.

Huerta required staples to her head and suffered a large back abrasion, according to KTLA, which reported that police were notified of the incident.

One of the couple’s customers, Brandon Ruiz of Azusa, started the GoFundMe to help the family recover financially from the theft after the couple spent $1,500 to replace the stolen equipment, according to the fundraiser.
