• Suspect Arrested in South Pasadena Residential Burglary After Brief Confrontation (coloradoboulevard.net) — A South Pasadena homeowner returned to their Alta Vista Avenue residence last week to find an intruder inside, sparking a brief confrontation before the suspect fled on a bicycle. Police later arrested a 26-year-old Los Angeles man on suspicion of residential burglary and turned a second, unrelated man over to Alhambra police on warrants. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact South Pasadena Police or Crime Stoppers. 
• Basketball Recap: Kentridge Beats Santa Monica for Their Fourth Straight Win (maxpreps.com) — Kentridge’s boys basketball team from Washington is on a hot streak, notching a fourth straight win with a 66–56 victory over Santa Monica after recently dropping 27 points in a game played at South Pasadena. Standout scorer Giovanni Moimoi has now logged nine straight games with at least 16 points, while Santa Monica has cooled off after a strong start. Both teams have already moved on to additional non-league matchups.
