Police: Man Arrested Following Sexual Assault in South Pas

The suspect, a 19-year-old Lancaster man, was arrested on suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

South Pasadena Police Detectives have arrested a man following the sexual assualt of a woman in town who is under the age of 18, according to a release from Sgt. Robert Bartl.

Detectives apprehended Juan Mora, 19, in the Antelope Valley, in connection with a sexual assault in South Pasadena on March 7, authorities said. Both Mora, of Lancaster, and the female victim were acquaintances of one another, Bartl stated. Mora allegedly picked up the girl after she "ditched'' school, according to a crime report. 

Mora was taken to the South Pasadena Police Department for questioning and then later booked at the Pasadena Police Department jail, where he was being held pending arraignment.
