South Pas Bids Farewell to Councilmembers

South Pasadena's newly elected officials will take their oaths of office Dec. 7.

A reception will be held to bid farewell to , who served on the council from 2007-2011, and Mayor Mike Ten, who served on the council from 2003-2011, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at

Mayor Mike Ten will present a “State of the City Address,” and presentations will be made to the outgoing officials, including former City Treasurer Victor A. Robinette.

At this time, the newly elected officials—City Treasurer Gary E. Pia, Councilmembers Marina Khubesrian, M.D. and Bob Joe and incumbent Richard D. Schneider, M.D.—will take their oaths of office.

Council will also adopt a resolution reciting the facts and declaring the results of the election as provided by law, including the passage of the Utility User’s Tax.

Mayor Pro Tem Michael A. Cacciotti will preside over the meeting when the new council is seated. Council reorganization, the official determination of Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem by the Councilmembers, will take place at the Dec. 21 regularly scheduled meeting.
