The crime summary below is provided by the South Pasadena Police Department:
STOLEN VEHICLE
• Oct. 13, 6 p.m. to Oct. 14, 7 a.m., 1700 block of Ellincourt. ’96, Honda Accord. Recovered on Sept. 14 by El Monte Police Department.
RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE
• Oct. 10, 1:31 p.m., 1600 block of Raymond Hill. ’00, Chevy Silverado. Officer is alerted to a stolen vehicle by an automated license plate reader. Officer locates and stops vehicle without incident. Vehicle is found to be stolen from LAPD Foothill Division. Suspect Arrested: Female, White, 29 years, Los Angeles.
VEHICLE TAKEN WITHOUT OWNER CONSENT
• June 1 to Oct. 9, 400 block of Fair Oaks. Officers respond to an argument and contacts suspect and victim. Suspect and victim are found to be friends and victim loans vehicle to suspect. Suspect does not return vehicle and claims to have spent money to repair victim’s vehicle. Suspect does not know where vehicle is and victim makes a stolen vehicle report.
AUTO BURGLARY
• Oct. 12, 1:30 a.m. to 9:20 a.m., 1000 block of Arroyo Verde. ’08, Lexus ES350. Suspect(s) smashes window to gain entry, activating car alarm. Suspect(s) flee without taking any loss. Loss: None.
• Oct. 11, 6 p.m. to Oct. 12, 7:50 a.m., 1200 block of Huntington. V1: ’06, Scion TL. V2: ’13, Honda CRV. V3: ’07, Chevy Cobalt. Suspect(s) smashes window to all three vehicles to gain entry. Loss: V1 – CD case, CDs, phone charger, miscellaneous papers. V2 – CDs and miscellaneous papers. V3 – None.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY
• Oct. 11, 11 p.m. to Oct. 12, 1:13 p.m., 1000 block of Fair Oaks (Cookies and Cream). Suspect(s) gains entry possibly through an unlocked door and pries open cash register. Loss: Cash, I-pad, computer monitor.
• Oct. 11, 6:30 a.m. to Oct. 11, 10:30 a.m., 400 block of Fair Oaks (Carmines). Suspect(s) cuts lock securing storage shed and takes loss. Loss: Cleaning supplies and empty beer kegs.
ASSAULTS
• Oct. 13, 3:30 p.m., 600 block of Prospect. Victim (boyfriend) and witness (girlfriend) were in a relationship, but broke up. Victim goes to witness’ residence and get into an argument. Witness leaves and victim tells witness that he will wait for her to return. In fear of her safety, witness returns with friends (suspects). Victim sees witness and suspects, and grabs a brick. Victim threatens suspects with brick and S1 hits victim. Victim runs away and is tackled by S2. Witness again runs away. Suspects’ Description: S1 – Male, Black, 20 years, Pasadena. S2 – Male, White, 19 years, Pasadena.
INDECENT EXPOSURE
• Oct. 11, 11 a.m., Mission/Fair Oaks. Victim (Female, 19 years) is driving and stopped at a red light. Suspect pulls along side victim and stares at victim. Victim drives away and stops for another red light a block away. Victim looks to the next lane and sees suspect, who is masturbating. When light turns green, suspect and victim drive in opposite directions. Suspect Vehicle: Blue, Chevy pick-up truck. Suspect Description: Male, Hispanic, 35-40 years, black hair, mustache, wearing a white baseball cap, sunglasses and a white t-shirt.
POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
• Oct. 13, 10:53 p.m., Avenue 60/Monterey. Suspects are stopped for a traffic violation. S1 (driver) is found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance and passenger (S2) is found to be in possession of stolen property and a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia. Suspects Arrested: S1 – Male, Hispanic, 44 years, Los Angeles. S2 – Female, Hispanic, 23 years, Los Angeles.
• Oct. 11, 11:50 p.m., Meridian/Mission. Officers respond to a male (victim) and female (suspect) arguing in a parked vehicle. Officers locate vehicle and contact subjects. Victim and suspect are in a relationship and got into an argument, which escalates to suspect hitting victim. Suspect is found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Suspect Arrested: Female, Hispanic, 24 years, Los Angeles.
DUI
• Oct. 12, 12:52 a.m., 1100 block of Fair Oaks (Vons). Officers respond to a shoplift in progress. Officers locate suspect loading pumpkins into a vehicle. Suspect returns pumpkins and employee is not desirous of prosecution, but suspect is found to be under the influence of alcohol. Suspect Arrested: Female, White, 47 years, Los Angeles.
FALSE REGISTRATION
• Oct. 10, 9:49 p.m., Alhambra/Milan. Suspect is found driving a vehicle with false registration tabs. Suspect is also found to be driving under a suspended driver’s license. Suspect Arrested: Male, Hispanic, 51 years, Los Angeles.
THEFT
• Oct. 11, 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., 1000 block of Indiana. Suspect(s) takes loss from victim’s front porch. Loss: Potted plants, candle stick holder and basket of mail.
• Oct. 11, 4 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., 1100 block of Mound. Suspect(s) takes loss from the rear bed of victim’s vehicle. Loss: Bicycle, suitcase and ice cooler.
• Sept. 26, 9:30 p.m. to Oct. 11, 11:06 a.m., 1700 block of Grevelia. Suspect(s) enters victim’s unlocked vehicle taking loss. Suspect(s) then forges victim’s check and cashes forged check. Loss: Checkbook.
• Oct. 8, 6 p.m. to Oct. 10, 4 p.m., 1000 block of Indiana. Suspect(s) takes loss from victim’s front porch. Loss: Plant pots, statue and lawn decorations.
• June 8, 8 p.m. to Aug. 21, 6 a.m., 1200 block of Spruce. Suspect takes loss from victim’s porch several times. A witness sees suspect takes loss in one incident. Suspect Vehicle: Dark gray, VW SUV. Suspect Description: Male, Asian, 40- 50 years, 505, 160.
IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD FRAUD/CHECK FRAUD
• Sept. 3 to Oct. 15, 1600 block of Wayne. Suspect(s) makes several unauthorized ATM withdrawals from victim’s bank account.
• Oct. 1 to Oct. 9, 800 block of Summit. Suspect(s) uses victim’s personal information and attempts to open two credit card accounts.
• January 2011 to December 2011, 1000 block of Grevelia. Suspect(s) uses victim’s personal information for employment.
• March 10 to March 19, 1200 block of Huntington. Suspect(s) steals victim’s mail and alters victim’s check. Suspect(s) then cashes altered check.
VANDALISM
• Oct. 15, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., 400 block of Garfield. Suspect(s) cut a hole in chain link fence.
