What To Expect At Wednesday's City Council Meeting
From a birthday celebration to an expected spike in your water bill, here's what will do down at Wednesday's City Council meeting.
A New Start Time
The meeting Wednesday will begin at 7:00 p.m.—a half hour earlier than usual. City Council also adopted an informal policy that no new agenda items will be taken up after 10:30 p.m. (Good news for us regulars!)
A Birthday Celebration
The City will celebrate its 124th birthday from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. at with a party honoring all former elected officials. Cupcakes and coffee will be served at the reception. And everyone is invited to join!

Residents to Speak on Spike in Sewer & Water Rates
City Council approved an increase of 14 percent in sewer rates and 18 percent in water rates slated for April 2012. A public hearing on the matter will take place Wednesday. Residents are encouraged to speak up.
