You're Invited: 1886 Bar's First Anniversary Party

The Raymond will host a party tonight from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

It's time to celebrate The Raymond's 1886 Bar first major milestone. It's turning 1 today!

The will host a party Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Hard to believe it was just 12 months ago that it was introduced to thirsty sippers in the Southland, but 1886 Bar at the Raymond officially opened on Nov. 17, 2010, with a mix of classic cocktails and hand-crafted libations soon to be classics in their own right.

What few people know—and even the owners didn't realize at the time—is that 1886 Bar's grand opening date was the same day and date as the original Grand Dedication Ball at the Raymond Hotel, which actually took place on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1886.

"We are excited to be celebrating the first-year anniversary of 1886 Bar on the 125th birthday of the original Grand Raymond Hotel, as well as, the City of Pasadena," said General Manager Chris Mangandi.
