VACANCY ON BOARD OF HARBOR COMMISSIONERS
Pursuant to California Harbors and Navigation Code Section 6054.3, Vacancies, theSan Mateo County Harbor District will hold a special meeting on Thursday, April 26,2012to consider appointment of a commissioner to fill the current vacancy on theBoard of Harbor Commissioners created by the death of Commissioner Sally Campbell.The appointment shall be for the remainder of Commissioner Campbell’s term endingDecember 31, 2012. Qualified persons are those who are residents of and qualifiedelectors within the District. Interested qualified persons may submit a letter of interestand resume addressed to the Board of Harbor Commissioners, either by mail or in person,to the San Mateo County Harbor District, 400 Oyster Point Blvd., Suite 300, South SanFrancisco, CA 94080: Attention Debbie Nixon, Deputy Secretary to the Board. There isno application form. Deadline for receipt of letters of interest is Wednesday, April 25,2012 at 4:00 p.m. Following review of candidates’ submittals, each candidate will berequired to appear before the Commission for an interview at a special meeting of theCommission on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. at the District AdministrationOffice, 400 Oyster Point Blvd., #300, South San Francisco, CA 94080. CaliforniaHarbors and Navigation Code Section 6054.3 provides the Board with the authorityto appoint a Commissioner if the Board acts within 30 days of the vacancy. Aftercompleting interviews of all interested qualified persons, the Commission will take actioneither at the special meeting on April 26, 2012 or at its regular Commission meeting onMay 2, 2012 in order to comply with the time frame required by California Harbor and Navigation Code Section 6054.3.
