• Caltrain copper theft suspect caught in San Mateo County (mercurynews.com) — A suspect accused of stealing copper cable from Caltrain tracks in South San Francisco has been arrested after being spotted by a Sheriff’s Office airplane early Sunday. Deputies say about 50 feet of cable were removed, causing roughly $5,000 in damage, but the cable was recovered and the man now faces multiple felony charges. Rail riders may see impacts as repairs proceed.
