REMINDER: CST TESTING STARTS MONDAY

All parents are reminded that the CST testing Window begins this Monday. Please do everything you can to support your child during the testing period for grades 2-5. Each student should

CANDIDATE STATEMENTS FOR GOVERNANCE COUNCIL ELECTIONS ARE DUE MAY 11.

Parents and teachers interested in running for representative may do so by nominating themselves.
No previous experience is necessary.
Nomination forms are available on the website. Just download and complete the nomination form then submit it along with a candidate statement to lisasegvich@yahoo.com. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or turn it in to the main office by 4pm on Friday, May 11th. (At that time, someone will also take your photo).

Your 120-word candidate statement and photo will be posted on the school website the week before the election. For the first time, we are hosting a "Meet the Candidates" evening on Tuesday, May 22nd at 7pm. Candidates may address the audience for 2-3 minutes. Participation is optional but encouraged

REMINDER: STATE OF THE CHARTER PRESENTATION NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

Last week, Carpenter held its second annual State of the Charter address.  This informative session was faciliated by Principal Joe Martinez and Governance Council Chair, Heather Tonkins.  Highlights included a recap of the school’s mission, vision, and goals, the benefits of being an affiliated charter school, a review ofCarpenter’s second year as a charter, a description of the Governance Council’s role and the work that was completed this year, and the outlook for the 2012-2013 school year.  If you were unable to attend this meeting, the presentation is now available online at:  http://www.carpentercharter.org/about-us/our-charter.html  (click on “State of the Charter Address Presentation, April 24, 2012”).  Any questions, contact governance@carpentercharter.org.
