REMINDER: CPK DAY IS BACK!

Please join all your friends from Carpenter for lunch and/or dinner AND fundraising at California Pizza Kitchen.  Simply bring the yellow flyer in your child's backpack and present it to your server when you order and 20% of your check will benefit our school.  Offer is good ALL DAY on either dine in or take out (always a great option!!!)  Let's all raise money for our school by making Tuesday, May 1st CPK day at your house!!!

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION = $ FOR CARPENTER 

Please bring those Box Tops for Education to your child's classrooms by Tuesday, May 1st. REMINDER: PFC/PTA MAY MEETINGS THIS COMING TUESDAY & THURSDAY

We're getting down to the wire on Auction & Dinner Dance Planning! Find out how you can help and learn about everything else PTA and PFC are doing for the remainder of the school year at the PTA/PFC May Meeting Thursday 5/3 at 8:05am in Cafe West. We'll also provide updates on situations facing our school (budgets, RIFs, green initiatives) and talk a little about next year. Thinking about how you're going to be more active next year? Now's a great time to start. REMINDER: PTA OPEN HOUSE ANNUAL BAKE SALE: CALLING ALL BAKERS

Carpenter PTA will be holding our annual bake sale during the open house from 5-7PM. Please bring your baked (or store bought) goods Thursday morning May 3rd to the parent resource room next to the auditorium. As always, please label what the item is and if it contains nuts! If you are able to help with setting up or selling that evening here is the schedule:

4:30-5PM set up
5:00-5:30PM sales
5:30-6:00PM sales
6:00-6:30PM sales
6:30-7:00PM sales
7:00 clean up

REMINDER: PTA SPIRIT SALES AT OPEN HOUSE

The Spirit Store will be open for business on Thursday, May 3rd as part of the Open House Excitement! Don't forget to stop by and stock up on t-shirts, hats, recyclable bags, flashlights and more for summer. If you can volunteer to work in sales for a half hour between 4-5 (setup) 5-7 (sales) or 7-7:30pm (cleanup), please email Adina at adina_barco@hotmail.com. If you can't come by and shop! You know you need your Spirit Fix!

GOVERNANCE ELECTIONS INFORMATION ONLINE

Last Thursday, we sent an email about Governance Elections and it directed parents and teachers interested in running to "review the attached documents and the information posted on the website." However there were no documents attached. EARTHQUAKE & DISASTER PREPAREDNESS EVENT

On Saturday, May 5 from 1-2:30pm the Footbridge Square Neighborhood Watch is sponsoring an Earthquake and Disaster Preparedness event for ALL Studio City Residents.  The event will take place at the Christian Science Church at the corner of Valleyheart and Whitsett in Studio City.  Bring the whole family! Educators from the American Red Cross will be on hand to present an emergency preparedness-related puppet show for kids and provide helpful tips for adults. Light snacks will be provided.  Donations of canned meat and fish will be collected for the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry.  For more information, contact David Kohn: kohnrealtor@gmail.com.
