Colfax Curbs Will Be Repainted Red Monday Morning
Residents will be watching to see if they will go gray again.
The , to allow for safe exits from the Studio Village driveways, and both police and residents will be on the lookout to see if someone will be painting them gray again.
Geoff Yazzetta, the Studio City representative of Los Angeles Council Member Paul Krekorian's office, sent an email over the weekend saying that the Department of Transportation plans to Monday morning between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
The office notified Nancy J. Brown of the Studio Village community, where the curbs have been painted over by some unknown people to allow for more street parking in the area. The problem is that it creates a hazard for people trying to exit the complex.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the repainting is considered vandalism, and Mike Lewis, the Senior Lead Officer for the area, said they will be keeping a closer eye on the area. Essentially, the vandals need to be caught in the act.
Three times the curbs were painted over again within 24 hours.

Local resident Sidney Mandell said that he hopes to encourage "local residents to be on the lookout for vandals that will try and undo this again. Also that LAPD has said they will be watching."
