COMMENTS INVITED TO BE PUT TO HARVARD/WESTLAKE development
QUESTIONS to ask Harvard/Westlake about what can be expected by its expansion for Harvard/Westlake onto Whitsett Ave, Studio City
1. Do you have a commitment from H/W about the lots's use (of the Weddington located sports complex) for both your school and outsides activities?
If so what are the invitations in terms of expected guest counts and days/ hours.
------ Please don't respond that it's all in the "formal replies to the permitting process".

2. Will you allow non-Harvard Westlake users to rent the campus for their activities?
------If so ,what are those restrictions?

3. What will the fee be for "others/outsiders" to use the facilities?
-------will payments be made to a -- yet to be named "non profit" -- ?
4. What commitments will the school give to the community to become involved and active in the general welfare of the community?
EG --- Hosting free events/ sponsor groups/attend SCNC/SCRA and Chamber of Commerce etc meetings with a representative who has the power to make commitments on behalf of the school?
5. What other activities/events will H/W host/participate in Studio City's spirit of a tight knit community ?
6. Will there be a "point committee" between the community and H/W for purposes of resolving everyday issues, AND -in the long term - well being of Studio City.
It will no longer be "us" vs "them" we are all in this now !!! and have to work together without lots of administrative obstacles put in the way of collaborations.
I suggest you start with hosting some of the Neighborhood Council and community group meetings on your Coldwater campus, and move them to the new recreational arena when it is completed.
STUDIO CITY didn't just "happened". You brag about the enviable location of your school.
The community is built on the sweat equity of locals.
Please plan to "pull" your load.
Thank you, Joann Deutch
