Right in our own backyard you and your loved ones will be mesmerized, intoxicated, and stimulated sharing such a marvelous mind blowing monumental memorable escapade. Your spirits will be lifted along with your confidence once you have completed the magical majestic momentous magnum opus.

Most Angelenos don't even know that the LA River is more than just a cement bottom. They don't realize that the LA River, as public property, is open to all. In addition, a majority are surprised to discover there is ample water creating rapids. River rafting has nothing on this local premiere profound prolific phenomenon!!

Celebrate the one of a kind wonderful wonder of nature with other like minded souls while learning the history and ecology of our brilliant beautiful bountiful breathtaking city. You will encounter mild rapids, “lazy river” stretches, rocky sections, lots of flora and fauna, and native wildlife. All equipment, training, and logistics will be provided. The staff works closely with the rangers of the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) to make your trip a safe and fun one.**

According to Owner, Steven Appleton, who is deeply involved in river restoration and revitalization, participants learn what they can do and gain self esteem. They recognize the value of the river on a core level.

The most rewarding part of the journey for Steven is watching people who wouldn't typically be together in life, form a special connection. "It's all smiles at the end, everybody out of their element together learning to move and navigate."

Steven looks forward to future expansion. "The River is a tributary for people to be able to travel without a car. There are plans in the works to be able to peddle your bike to the ocean along the River from wherever you are. These are huge benefits of the River of major importance to city folks."

LA River Kayak Safari is dedicated to the River and creating tangible advantages for their community, Elysian Valley (aka Frogtown.) Every year they run a series of Community Paddle events that serve all for free. They select and maintain the best gear that is perfectly suited to paddling the Los Angeles River. Their experienced guides know the River and provide attendees with guidance to quickly develop the necessary paddling skills.
