The city Department of Transportation plans to come to repaint the curbs red yet again.
The Los Angeles Police Department plans to keep a watch on the persistent vandals who obviously want to keep the parking spots open, but it will require eyewitness accounts to catch the culprits. Online readers have suggested hidden cameras monitor the curbs, but managers of the complexes nearby have all said the costs are too expensive for the cameras.

Here is the statement from Krekorian's office:
"Since this issue was first brought to our attention in early January, we have worked closely with the residents of the Studio Village complex and the Department of Transportation (DOT) to repaint these curbs after reports surfaced that someone was breaking the law covering red curbs with grey paint.
As this article states, the DOT has gone out to this location at least three times - despite the department having just one crew in the entire city to deal with these specific issues - only to be thwarted by someone who endangered lives and wasted valuable city resources.
The DOT is slated to head out there next week to ensure this curb is, once again, painted red while the LAPD works to catch those responsible. Together, we will continue working to try and fix this issue once and for all.
Of course, if you see anyone painting these curbs gray from red, please call the police department immediately and if you have any issues call us at (818) 755-7676."
Have you seen anyone paint the curb? Do you think the curbs should be gray or red?
