and some testimonies...

“Children from Campbell Hall took flowerpots to the Sunrise Senior Center in Studio City. As my 8-year-old son handed one to a 93-year-old lady, she looked at him and said, ‘It's been a long time since anyone gave me flowers.’  Hand me the tissues!! Our experience was priceless!!!”
–J.W., Campbell Hall School

Can’t wait? We need help this weekend at our annual Big Sunday Distribution Day. This year it’s at our cool offices on Melrose, and we need extra hands. (Especially strong ones!) And as always, we’re collecting new and gently-used clothes and books, and non-perishable foods. Contact becky@bigsunday.org for more info.

Can’t wait? Love grilled cheese? Over 21? The Grilled Cheese Invitational is this weekend in Pasadena. They’re having a beer garden for charity, and that charity is BIG SUNDAY! We need friendly volunteers to sell tickets and talk up Big Sunday Weekend. There are two shifts: Project 262 and 262A! (You must be at least 21 years of age.)

Got stuff? We can also use: sleeping bags, computers (got five, need two more), diapers and lots and lots of toiletries.

Wanna collect stuff? There are a lot of people who desperately need new socks and underwear! Want to host a collection? Contact Mary Helen at mhberg@sbcglobal.net.

Want to spread the word? We still have fantastic posters and postcards – in English and Spanish – just waiting to be distributed! If you’d like some, please contactallycia@bigsunday.org. (You should see ‘em! They’re great!)

Big Sunday Adventures. Did you know that Big Sunday hosts all kinds of memorable adventures, all in the name of bringing people together. This year’s include a tour of the Hammer Museum, a visit to a farm in Moorpark, and seeing a play at the Geffen Playhouse. If you have a group that doesn’t usually get to go on a special adventure like this, but would like to, let us know! We’d love to include them, but space is limited.

Contact david@bigsunday.org asap.

Can’t find a project near you? Try hosting a Lemonade Stand on Big Sunday Weekend!

This year we’re trying something a little different and teaming up with Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a great group that raises tons of money to fight pediatric cancer. And the best thing is, anyone can host one, anywhere! Sign Up Now!

Have you seen our cool new videos? Check out the latest ones: Sam, Sister Margaret and Josie & Co. If you like them, please feel free to share them, post them or tweet about them.

Want to keep Big Sunday free for everyone? Big Sunday is supported by donations from people like you. This year, individuals, groups and businesses can underwrite a project at all levels. Contact martha.ambros@bigsunday.org for more info. Or, if you want to just cut to the chase and make a donation , that’s great, too! (And thanks!)
