How to Absentee VOTE

Absentee Balloting has some rules.

If you want your ballot to be counted, then watch out for these issues:

WHAT's the most common mistake? ----- Your signature !!!!

HELP: Vote early, so that if there is something wrong with your ballot which you need to correct you have enough time to do that before Election Day.

You signature has to match your CA Driver's license.

No scribbling your "signature" like you do on documents. No "Beth" instead of Elizabeth.

If you haven't changed your last name when you got married, check the envelop your ballot came in. Use that name. The City Clerk checks your ballot signature against the DMV records.
