Important Meeting This Afternoon at City Hall—Neighborhood Council Funding Reduced and Elections
Studio City Neighborhood Council President John Walker wants to let everyone know.

Today at City Hall - Funding and Elections to Be Decided - 3pm
Dear Studio City Stakeholder
Today, Wednesday, May 2nd, sometime around 3pm, the Neighborhood Council Budget and Finance Committee will hear from the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment about the 2012-2013 budget submitted by the Mayor.
The Mayor has proposed the following:

1. Reducing DONE staff by 6 positions, one of which is a major funding person.
2. Reducing Neighborhood Council funding to $35,000.

3. Possibly eliminating elections again for this year.
We must show up if possible, and protect the ONLY system we as Stakeholders have, to let our voices be heard in City Hall, 200 N Spring Street.
