On Monday, July 8, 2024, Johnson & Johnson MedTech hosted an interactive event for more than 130 children of J&J employees, providing an immersive experience into the world of medtech devices and innovation. Bring Your Child to Work Day was hosted at Johnson & Johnson MedTechโ€™s Irvine headquarters and included a full day of hands-on activities specifically designed for K โ€“ 12 grade age groups. Product demonstrations included diagnostic and ultrasound catheters used in J&Jโ€™s electrophysiology procedures to treat Atrial Fibrillation, revascularization devices used in the treatment of stroke, and mock surgeries on the human eye.

โ€œJohnson & Johnson MedTech is uniquely positioned to host special events like Bring Your Child to Work Day where children have the opportunity to see first-hand the impact our products and solutions can have on patients and customers,โ€ said Jasmina Brooks, President, Biosense Webster, and executive sponsor of J&Jโ€™s local WiSTEM2D chapter. โ€œThese young people are our next generation of leaders and innovators, and Iโ€™m thrilled my son was able to attend the event and learn more about how our teams work to address key unmet healthcare challenges.โ€

Hosted by Johnson & Johnsonโ€™s WiSTEM2D (Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing and Design) and WLI (Womenโ€™s Leadership & Inclusion) employee resource groups, this exclusive event shows Johnson & Johnsonโ€™s commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders to pursue career opportunities in science and technology that can change the world. In this year alone, WiSTEM2D will impact more than 1,000 students locally through outreach programs and STEM events.
