Studio City Nanny wins Julia Margaret Cameron Award

I am so happy to share the news that I have won for my series (6 photographs in the Portrait category) in the 18th Annual Julia Margaret Cameron Awards for Women Photographers.

I am a self-taught photographer based in Los Angeles who has worked with children as a nanny for 14 years.

Working one-on-one with them has granted me access to their intimate moments and resulted in
photographs that collectively I call 'The Lost Years', the years before 7-years-old, that most adults cannot remember.

As a nanny and documenter of the child's day, I am sometimes the only witness to many of the
moments that are overlooked.
