PTA News Meeting Agendas
Happy Mother's Day!
Rehearsals and the final round ofAuditions for the Talent Show are coming up Monday at 2:30pm in the Library. The Talent Show will be Friday June 8th.
We have a PTA Voting meeting coming up this Wednesday 5/16. Coffee and pastries will be served.
And then next Wednesday 5/23, we will have a Fundraising meeting to brainstorm new ideas for next year, discuss what has worked and what could be improved, and ask for renewed commitment to your fundraising energies.
FUNDRAISING CORNER Your School Needs You!
Save our Library and our TAs with a donation to the Victory Drive fundraising campaign. Click here to download a donation form or look for a copy in your child's backpack on Wednesday.
Final Auditions and first Rehearsal will be held Monday after school in the Library, from 2:30pm to about 4pm.
Kids: We are excited to see your act, hear your music or poem, watch your dance or skit... All acts are welcome! You are all little stars we can't wait to see shine up on stage at Valley View!
Parents: This experience is for the kids to get comfortable performing in front of people. So you're welcome to encourage telepathically from the other side of the door, but auditions and rehearsals will be kids only. Thanks for encouraging your kids to perform!
Who says raising money for a good cause
can't be fun?
The cause: SAVE OUR TEACHING ASSISTANTS

100 CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
Camps in: Pasadena, Chatsworth, Studio City, West LA, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, and El Segundo.
Performing Arts Workshops, VOTED 2010's BEST SUMMER CAMP in LA PARENT MAGAZINE, is pleased to announce that through a generous donation, twenty scholarships at each of our Summer Camp locations are now available.
These special scholarships have been made available for us to give as a matching fund. Our donor, whose wish is to help local children experience the arts this summer, will sponsor half the tuition for up to 20 children at each camp. Each matching scholarship provides $245 dollars of the tuition for MUSICAL THEATER CAMP when the parent matches the remaining $245.
It is our donor's request that the scholarships have no conditions or prerequisites. We are issuing these scholarships immediately. To receive one of these scholarships please call us at (310) 827-8827 and mention the "matching fund scholarships." For more information about PAW visit www.PerformingArtsWorkshops.com.

Miriam Epstein, 323-309-8420, kpycamp@gmail.com
This camp is unique in that it is a small, homegrown start up with lots of heart, and the only Spanish language immersion program in the area for five to ten year olds.
Summer is a terrific time to quench the thirst that parents have for their child to experience something new and different while gaining skills that will last a lifetime. We offer Spanish language instruction as a course of engaging in the activities that all kids love (please see pdf attached and website.)
Better yet we will have options for continuing the progress during the school year as afterschool programs. Add to this the option (lowest tutoring rates in the area) for group or individual tutoring in English Lang Art and Math in the relaxed comfortable environment of our camp and you have got the perfect mix for the summer doldrums. So the price is right (only $250 for M-F , 9-4pm) and the time is now. We are offering free trial classes this month!
