A woman walking near Moorpark and Whitsett about a week ago is asking for help in finding someone walking a large bulldog-like dog that bit her.

Nichole A. Choice said she was a bit shaken by the incident. She detailed it:

"I want to inform you of an incident that occured last night around 9 p.m. in front of the church on Moorpark near Whitsett.

I was walking, and a woman with two dogs—a large one on a leash, and a small one without approached me.

The woman struggled to control the large, bull dogish looking dog, while the small white one barked wildly at me, ignoring the owner's verbal attempts to get its attention off of me.

The owner is a female, maybe in her 30s, long straight brunette hair, dressed casually in a knit cap and sweats. I felt a sharp pinch on my buttock and apparently screamed.

"Are you OK?" the owner asked me.

"He bit me!" I hollered.

She proceeded to punch the large dog in the face, even though I'm pretty sure it's the small one who bit me—hard to say as I was trying to walk away from them, and it was dark.

I took a few steps, then realized I should get her information, so I called out, "Wait!  What's your number?"

At this point, she RAN!  "Hey!  Hey!", I called.

She and her dogs disappeared into the night. I wonder if the police would offer a reward for her identification.

As I understand it, she is liable for my injury.  The dog was clearly vicious, and she is negligent for not having the small one on a leash. I also think she's guilty of animal cruelty for punching the dog in the face."

Choice described the dog owner as: "She's Caucasian with hair length just below the shoulders. Maybe about 5'6", slender build.  The approximate address of this attack is 12322 Moorpark. I bet she lives somewhere around there. I have my eyes peeled for her everytime I pass through that area now."

She added, "I feel she is liable for my doctor co-pay as well as my emotional trauma.  As an animal lover, I feel more reserved, anxious, and hesitant around my many neighbors who walk their well behaved dogs."

The dog decriptions: "The large dog on a leash was perhaps gray.  Very large in size, maybe a bulldog mix.  He was not on a retractable leash, and as I mentioned, she struggled to keep him on the lawn away from me.  The small unleashed one looked kinda like him: http://images04.olx.com/ui/2/11/36/17910536_1.jpg  ..but with far longer, shaggier fur."
