Fairfield Motel Room Assault Leads To Arrest Of 2

Two Fairfield residents were arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting a woman inside a North Texas Street motel in March.

FAIRFIELD - Two Fairfield residents were arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting a woman inside a North Texas Street motel.

37-year-old Jennifer Ebert and 40-year-old Tito Manuel were taken into custody for an incident that reportedly occurred on March 14 inside a motel room in the 2200 block of North Texas Street.

Fairfield Police say a woman contacted them that day, claiming she'd been assaulted by one of the suspects as the two were looking for money. The victim claimed the other suspect held her at gunpoint during the assault.

Based on an investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for both suspects.

On Sunday shortly after at 6:00 pm, police say officers from the Special Operations Team - Patrol located both suspects in the 2200 block of North Texas Street.

Ebert and Manuel were arrested without incident, according to police, who say a follow up search warrant was conducted at their motel room and narcotics and ammunition were found.

Both subjects are convicted felons and are unable to possess ammunition according to police.

Both Jennifer Ebert and Tito Manuel were booked into the Solano County Jail for outstanding warrants; possession of controlled substance; illegally possessing ammunition; and probation violation.
