Fairfield Police Seeking "Shoulder Surfer" ATM Thief

Fairfield Police are asking for your help in finding this alleged "shoulder surfer" who stole money from a bank customer at a local ATM.

FAIRFIELD - Fairfield Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect pictured here who allegedly "shoulder surfed" and stole money from a bank customer at an outdoor ATM.

According to police, the woman seen in the surveillance image "shoulder surfed" the person in line ahead of her at a local ATM, a process where thieves attempt to observe your PIN number when you punch it in as they stand over your shoulder in back of you.

Police say often, customers will exit the ATM area before the transaction is completed. Thieves standing in line quickly re-enter the stolen PIN before the account is logged out, police say, and can withdraw any amount of money from your account up to the daily maximum.
