Solano Coroner Identifies Women Involved in Fatal Crash

The Solano County coroner's office has identified the victim of a fatal solo vehicle crash off eastbound Interstate Highway 80 Monday afternoon as 58-year-old Dara June Edell.

The California Highway Patrol said she was a Fairfield resident.

Edell was driving a 2000 Honda Accord east on Interstate Highway 80 west of Davis Street at approximately 65 mph when the car drifted to the right shoulder around 12:30 p.m., the CHP said.

The Honda struck a tree, overturned and landed on its wheels on the frontage road, Bella Vista Road, CHP said.

Edell was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner's office said.
