Suisun City Suspect Fired Shots While Driving Say Police

Police arrested a man early Thursday morning they suspect of firing numerous shots out of his car while driving around Suisun City.

SUISUN CITY - Police arrested a man early Thursday morning they suspect of firing numerous shots out of his car while driving around Suisun City.

According to information released, shortly before 1 a.m. Suisun City Police received numerous calls about gunshots being heard in several areas including Montebello Park, Potrero Circle, Hummingbird Drive, and Fulmar Drive.

Police say officers sent to the area located 22-year-old Jose Rodriguez, a Fairfield resident, on the 600 block of Seagull Dr.

Suisun City officers say they noticed ammunition in the center console of the vehicle Rodriguez was driving.

Based on evidence found and further investigation, Rodriguez was arrested and booked in Solano County jail, as police believe Rodriguez was the suspect driving around Suisun City, shooting revolver rounds from his vehicle.

Jose Rodriguez was booked on probable cause of for possession of a loaded firearm; shooting a firearm from a vehicle; and shooting a firearm in a grossly negligent manner.
