Victim In Fatal Suisun City Train Accident Is Identified
The Solano County coroner's office has identified a man who was struck and killed by a train Friday in Suisun City.

SUISUN CITY - The Solano County coroner's office has identified a man who was struck and killed by a train Friday in Suisun City as Joshua Thomason, 32, of Fairfield.
Thomason was hit by a westbound Union Pacific freight train just west of the Sunset Avenue crossing around 10:30 a.m., Suisun City police Sgt. Jeff Henderson said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:36 a.m., according to the coroner's office.

Henderson said Thomason, a transient, was running before he was struck by the front of the train, fell on the tracks and was run over.

Union Pacific Railroad spokesman Justin Jacobs said the train originated in Roseville and was heading to San Jose.
Jacobs said it appears Thomason was wearing earbuds and was unaware of the approaching train.
