3 Arrested In Connection To Temecula Auto Theft

The three people were arrested on multiple charges after one allegedly stole a car on Main Street.

TEMECULA, CA -- Three people were arrested in Temecula recently after allegedly stealing a car then trying to use the victim's credit cards to purchase items. Police said the incident began May 1 when a car was stolen from the 42200 block of Main Street.

Shortly after his car was stolen, the victim learned that someone attempted to use his credit card at a nearby retail business. Police then retrieved video images of the suspect and identified him as Joshua Pruitt, 28, of Temecula.

An investigation found that the car was allegedly stolen by Rudolfo Villasenor, 20, of Temecula, who then drove to a local motel where he met with Indira Sanchez, 22, of Temecula, Pruitt and a third male, police said.

The vehicle was located and recovered by Temecula Police Department Patrol officers in the late evening hours of May 1.

All three were arrested on multiple charges including vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, residential burglary and under the influence of methamphetamine.
