4 Events Happening At Temecula Public Library In October

From a haunted history of Temecula event led by a paranormal expert to cork board art class, here are a handful of happenings.

TEMECULA, CA — Residents can look forward to a handful of free — and some spooky — events in October at the Ronald H. Roberts Temecula Public Library.

Programs are sponsored by the Friends of Temecula Libraries and community members can sign up for scheduled events up to two weeks prior. Register at the library reception desk or by calling 951-693-8900.

Dreams vs. Grit: How to Start & Finish Your Novel - Wednesday, Oct. 2

From 4 to 5 p.m., teenagers will be able to hear from local author Zachary Roush, who will read an excerpt from his fantasy young adult novel "Kursed Kreatures." He will share his experience writing novels. This event is for grades 7 to 12 and no registration is required.

Haunted Temecula Valley - Thursday, Oct. 3

This all ages event is for lovers of all things spooky. From 6 to 7:30 p.m., local storyteller and paranormal expert David. J. Schmidt will take attendees through the haunted history of Temecula Valley.

String Art - Thursday, Oct. 10

From 4 to 5 p.m., teenagers can participate in a cork board and string art class. Students are invited to bring their friends to enjoy art and create works out of string. This event is for grades 7 to 12 and is limited to 25 people. Registration began Sept. 26.

Earthquake Preparedness Seminar - Thursday, Oct. 17

This one is less fun but certainly practical. Attendees can learn the steps to take before and after an earthquake. You'll also learn how to prepare for natural disasters. This one is open to all ages and no registration required.
