4 Temecula Restaurants Earn Global Wine Honors From Wine Spectator

TEMECULA, CA — They don't call it Wine Country for nothing. Wine Spectator released their annual list honoring the best restaurants for wine around the globe, and this year four restaurants in Temecula were recognized.

This year, more than 3,800 eateries received high honors for excellence in their wine programs.

The winning restaurants of 2025 have anchors in all 50 U.S. states and more than 80 countries and territories, including a new country this year — Jordan. Restaurants are awarded in three categories: Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence and Grand Award.

Wine Spectator pointed out an intriguing trend among wine programs in 2025: "What’s old is new again."

Along with a resurgence of old-school steakhouses, restaurants are rubbernecking the classics. Wine lists all over appear to be showcasing more Old World or Old World-style wine, showcasing older vintages or including wines made from old-vine sites and historical, nearly extinct grape varieties, Wine Spectator said in a news release.

What's more, among three restaurants that earned Wine Spectator's Grand Award for the very first time was a Golden State eatery called Sable's in Atherton. The other two first timers were Le Bon Georges in Paris and Sony's in Greenville, South Carolina.

Here are the restaurants that won in Temecula:

Cork Fire Kitchen - This beloved eatery at 44501 Rainbow Canyon has been recognized by Wine Spectator with an Award of Excellence every year since 2020.

Great Oak Steakhouse - Located inside the Pechanga Resort Casino, this eatery received a Best of Award of Excellence this year.

Bolero Restaurante - Tucked with Temecula's elegant Europa Village, this rustic eatery was given yet another Award of Excellence, an honor it has received since 2022.

The Vineyard Rose - South Coast Winery Resort & Spa's quaint, A-framed eatery with cozy chairs and vineyard views was crowned with another Award of Excellence, which it has gotten since 2023.
