Domestic Violence Suspect Surrenders In Temecula, Released On Bail

TEMECULA, CA — An alleged domestic violence suspect who barricaded inside a home in Temecula on Wednesday was eventually taken into custody, but he is free on bail.
Christopher Michael Baldwin, 49, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. on Pheasant Place in a residential neighborhood just east of Wolf Creek Park, jail records show.
According to the records, he was booked into Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/coinhabitant and assault causing great bodily injury, both felonies.

He was released on $50,000 bail early Thursday morning.
When Southwest Sheriff's Station deputies responded to the scene, the suspect allegedly refused to exit the home without a search warrant.

"After securing the necessary warrant, deputies were able to resolve the situation, and the suspect surrendered peacefully without incident," the station reported.
Baldwin has not been formally charged.
During the incident, deputies asked the community to avoid the area.
