TEMECULA, CA — Feel the wind in your hair, the sunshine on your skin and drink in those rich earthy tones of Temecula Valley Wine Country while touring in a three-wheel Fun Utility Vehicle available from Temecula Cable Car Tours.

It isn't a golf cart and it isn't a motorcycle, either. The new Arcimoto FUV is an "ultra-efficient electric vehicle for moving people and stuff." Now, it also will move wine enthusiasts through the many wineries of Temecula in a new partnership between the manufacturer and the local tour company.

Each year, over 3 million visitors explore Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country, according to Visit Temecula Valley. With a temperate climate, it's a year-round getaway and vacation destination situated within southwest Riverside County. With few rainy days, it's also the perfect place to drive with windows, top, or cruise in the wide open, as with the FUV. But how easy is it to drive? More of a car than a motorcycle, it does not require a specific license, according to the manufacturers.

A quick lesson will ramp you up to speed. There's an electric dash, the choice to go forward or backward, and a scooter-style wheel that will do your bidding as you make that ride across the hills and straightaways of wine country.

While you're touring, you can stop where you like or visit designated included tasting spots.

"You will have your choice (based on availability and date selected) of an included olive oil tasting, chocolate and petting zoo experience, or cheese tasting along a GPS-guided route.

Ultimately, you'll return through Old Town Temecula, stop and shop for a few minutes before returning your Fun Utility Vehicle.

Last but far from least, enjoy a complimentary wine tasting with lunch or charcuterie for two to finish your experience and an exclusive urban winery.

For Lynn Yeager, Arcimoto Chief Experience Officer, Temecula Cable Car Wine Tours, now owned by Eat Drink Scare Tours, was the perfect company to partner with.

"We can't wait for visitors to Temecula Valley to experience the same electric sensation (as in Willamette Valley, Oregon's wine country)," Yeager said.

Eat Drink Scare Tours of Temecula's President Jared Broach, has designed a special "safe, responsible and thrilling tour" for the two-seater Arcimoto FUV user.

Each guest will take their vehicle for a few stops at local wineries for olive oil and chocolate tastings. When the FUV tourists reach their final destination, the tour is capped off "with an epic wine tasting," he said.

According to Yeager, Arcimoto liked the idea of the tour company's fully-restored San Francisco Cable Car, as well as the energy of the company.

"We think the FUV will make for a great new option for those who want a more, shall we say, dynamic driving experience," Yeager said.

Visit Temecula Valley's CEO and President Scott Wilson agrees.

"We're excited to promote the first all-electric wine country tour," he said. "If you thought exploring Temecula in a classic San Francisco cable car was awesome, just wait until you try the FUV."
