Firefighters Battle French Valley Kitchen Fire, One Hospitalized

A resident inside the French Valley home was taken to a nearby hospital.

FRENCH VALLEY, CA — One resident received medical care after their French Valley house caught fire Wednesday night by Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire Deparment firefighters.

Just before 7:15 p.m., firefighters arrived at the burning two-story residence in unincorporated French Valley north of Temecula, in the 37500 block of Mojave Rose Court.

"Light smoke was seen emanating from the single-family home, in which officials found the resident and removed the person to allow for treatment on a separate medical emergency unrelated to the fire," according to the statement from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which was contained to the stove where a "plastic object on the stove," the department said.

Paramedics performed an on-scene evaluation on the resident, who was taken by ambulance to a local medical facility for an unrelated medical condition.
